Lucky mistake: Virginia woman wins $1 million lottery prize twice in one day »
A Virginia woman won $1 million — twice — after she mistakenly bought two Powerball tickets instead of one.
Virginia Fike, 44, of Berryville, Va., intended to buy one Powerball ticket and one for Mega Millions, but instead bought two Powerball tickets earlier this month, according to NVdaily.com.
“So I was like, ‘If I win, I win twice so what are the odds,’ so I just went ahead and took the ticket,” Fike said, according to the Virginia daily.
Both tickets matched five of the six Powerball numbers, and they were worth $1 million each.
Reblogging because I saw the last name Fike and new immediately she was from either Clarke or Frederick county.
